"Time is running out... Your oxygen reserves are running low, your thrusters are malfunctioning, and you need to make it to the escape pod and out off the Space Station before you die. Be careful not to hit anything... It's hard to control yourself in the low gravity of space."
The game was created as part of the GMTK 2020 Game Jam with the theme "Out Of Control". For this project, I was the lead for our team as well as the Games Designer. Due to the time constraints, I decided to make the game as simple to play as possible, meaning the only controls needed to play are the movement keys. To fit the "Out of Control" theme, I designed the game to punish players by making them bounce randomly off walls if they made a mistake. This coupled with areas where the player has no control over the character create moments of fast gameplay, decision making and tension.
